Does shrimp go good with Blackberry Merlot?

im making shrimp alfredo and not sure if the wine will good or not, what do you think?

1. A light and crisp WHITE wine will pair best with shrimp.
2. Crisp White Wine is the way to go. Seafood is paired with Whites and especially if you're making an Alfredo I would stick with the white, the red and the alfredo sound awfully rich together.
