What volume percentage is merlot wine?

2. Not sure I understand what your asking but if you mean the alcohol percentage most dry merlots are between 12-15 %

4. Look on the label. Technically, it varies with the anount of sugar that is in the grapes before they ferment. More sugar - more alcohol in the finished product. I believe there is a legal limit to the &-alc in wine in the UK. At a certain point it becomes a 'spirit' and liable for exise duty.
