Merlot in the freezer, is it still good?
I was stupid enough to put a bottle of merlot in the freezer (I know, I know) and the cork popped out. My question is should I throw it away, or is it still drinkable?

- Toss it.Red wines should NEVER be chilled
- Try it, if it tastes funny or bad toss it in the rubbish.
- It's probably okay to drink, though it might not taste great. Unless it says serve chilled, in which case you're on the right track.
- After it thaws...just shake it and drink it today! To disperse the alcohol.
- Red wine should never be chilled. You have ruined the wine. If you open a bottle of red wine, then you should consume the bottle within 24 hours, otherwise the bottle will turn to vinegar. Chilling a red wine does no good anyway. You are simply allowing it to become more acrid. Red wine requires a breathing period after opening to let the strong bitterness weep out of the bottle. This is not possible at low temperatures.
- I wouldn't drink it, but you should still be able to cook with it.
- drinkable
