Do you chill a white merlot? I wanted to serve a white merlot with dinner tonight. I am new to drinking wines and still don't know a lot about it. Should I chill this white merlot, and will it mix well with a light chicken pasta?

Coping with the last week of the cycle - the dreaded did we do it countdown? Hubby & I are TTC and despite constant reassurances to each other that its a natural process, the last week of my cycle is always a stressy nightmare. How do you and yours cope with those last few days - when you know its too early to test, and your body gets all sneaky and wont give you any hints either way?? We've had spa days, i have accupuncture appointments, neither of us has any caffeine or alcohol (and as bad as it is i think a good glass of merlot would go miles to chilling me out - but im restraining!) So what do others do? Any miracle ideas on achieving some stress free pre-conception nirvana?? I have my dates all flagged up in my calender at work (I have colour codes fro when we've "done the deed" i even get a 12 hour reminder for when im due to start AF!) Its incredibly hard to not obsess over it - 22 days of the cycle im a normal sane human being - the other 6 im on constant tenterhooks negotiating with myself how many more hours til i can do a test!!

Red wine and White wine.....? I'm no wine connoisseur but my wedding is coming up and we've decided to provide two bottles of wine per table a chardonnay and a merlot, its my novice understanding that the chardonnay should be served chilled but I wasn't quite as sure of the merlot, I've heard that red wine should be served at room temperature and corked so that it can breathe etc. etc. if anyone can help me with this I would be ever so grateful....
