How is the wine market in Asia, and China? I am interested in wines, but in pretty healthy way, once a week in Friday. I prefer California Cab.S, Merlot; and Australian Shiraz; but how is this market in China, including Taiwan, HK. and how is it in Japan, just some common sense, thanks a lot if you let me know anthing more...
What are the best sweet dessert red wines that I can find in a grocery market? I am VERY new to wine, so i dont want to shock my taste buds too badly. Thus, what are a few recommendations? I would really like it if i could buy them from the grocery store too :D Also, what is merlot? ice wine? pinot grigio? are these suitable for "new-comers?"
Recommendation for red wine but need to go to the fresh market or harris teeter. like spicy/berry flavors? I like organic wines but am wondering if anyone can recommend any good reds - cabernet or shiraz - or even merlot under $25. Looking for a change and welcome any suggestions. Thanks.
Assuming you've never bought Pinot Noir before? .....what price point might tempt you to bring home a Pinot for dinner rather than a Merlot or other light(er) drinking red? I'm mostly directing this to the more rookie wine drinkers out there. I will be growing Pinot for a winery that plans to launch a bargain ($5-7) bottle to get into the Pinot craze going on right now and I'm wondering if they (the winery) might actually be overestimating their market at this lower price point. I'm wondering if Pinot, being sort of a sophisticates wine, might not be that successful in the fighting varietals market dominated by merlot and chard. Anyway, would you buy a $5 Pinot with a CA label over a $5 Merlot with same orgin? Thanks
Does anyone else out there have a problem filling up with petrol? there are two petrol pumps and you are the third in line. The person at the first pump decides that she wants to do her weeks shopping. She queues for everything and pays then on her way out decides to buy a plant and goes back and queues again. 25 minutes waiting for this woman to get off the flaming pump. If you need to shop do it in the super market not at the flaming petrol station. What is wrong with people that I am kept waiting for a lady to decide whether she is going to drink Merlot or Pinot Noir with her dinner tonight whilst I wait patiently to fill up my damn car. You supermarket people out there pleae try to lay on enough parking spaces so stupid people doing their shopping can get off the flaming pumps.
About wine? I have question about wine. There are so many wine types and many brand available in Australian market. Which wine is best one (eg, merlot....) and which brand ? Thanks.
